Sunday Evening Ladies' Bible Study - 5:00pm in the Conference Room
Ladies' Lunch & Learn - Third Saturdays, 10:00am to Noon
The men (and boys) of Mill Creek gather on the second Saturday of each month to share breakfast, fellowship, and occasionally a project or teaching. On rare occasions these meals are held off-site with another church or group. Details are in the bulletins.
Bro. Scott Peterson and his wife Teresa lead the nursing home ministry at Signature of Radcliff. After a few hymns are sung, Teresa gives a short devotional message, usually with a small gift to hand out to the residents who attend. Bro. Scott preaches an encouraging message from the Word and a final song is sung. Mill Creek members are welcome to attend.
We collect items for shoeboxes for the entire year instead of just in October and November. Our goal is not to eliminate participation by families, individuals, or classes; but to increase the number of boxes that we can send each year.
Here's how you can help! Each month, a list of target items will be listed in the bulletins. We also encourage a specific cash donation to be given that will go toward the shipping amounts that are requested for each box. Collection boxes are placed in the breezeway, sorted by gender and age group for the items to be brought. Cash donations should be marked "OCC".
The first Sunday in October, a "Packing Party" will be held in the Friendship Center. Just run out and pick up a lunch, then come back and enjoy fellowship while we sort through the collections and create life-changing boxes to be sent out in November.
Guests are allowed to use our Food Pantry three times a year. There is an application to fill out. The Food Pantry is stocked solely by Mill Creek members; we do not receive inventory from other organizations. If you are in need of food, you can call the United Way at 211; they keep a listing of churches and other groups who provide food throughout the month. There are also a number of "Blessing Boxes" located around Radcliff at various churches, near the police station and at other public locations.
