It's been a Mill Creek tradition for ten years now that we read through the four Gospels in January to help us kick the year off in a good frame of mind and focused on the Lord. The January calendar, included in the final bulletin of December, will contain the Scriptures for each day. It takes approximately three chapters a day to finish the Gospels in one month. This year, the daily Scripture references will also be posted on Facebook as a reminder.

Our ladies have learned a number of basic home repair skills this year! All of the ladies are invited to join in the annual Christmas Party and lunch.

Our 2025 Trunk or Treat was held on the Saturday evening prior to Halloween. We had several "trunks" to "treat" at as well as a variety of games and fun activities. Free hot dogs were provided for guests! Trunk or Treat is always a fun time to renew acquaintances and make new friends in the community.

The 2025 Widows' Banquet was held on October 7 at the Golden Corral. Traditionally held in December, this event has been moved to the fall to avoid icy conditions and other setbacks. It is the deacons' great privilege and honor to gather with these ladies and gentlemen for a fantastic meal and fellowship.

The fragrances from the Friendship Center filled the sanctuary during worship on October 19, promising good things! Our judges conferred the honors of Hottest Chili and Best Wild Game Chili on Greg Luce; and Most Unique Chili and Best Chili Chef on Steve Tipton. Voting with donations, "The People" chose Greg's chili as Best, Tabitha Smith's chili as second, and Steve Tipton's as third. Over $700

Fifth Saturday Faith & Fun was a children's event that occurred on fifth Saturdays. In August 2024 the children learned about Creation Week. There were fun creative activities including making little bird feeders to take home.

Our "Ladies' Lunch & Learn" classes are held on the third Saturday of most months at 10:00am. In September, the ladies gathered to learn or refresh their marksmanship skills. Usually, lunch is served following these classes, but this time the group went to Subway!

The August Lunch & Learn focused on canning foods. After a thorough discussion on the various methods of canning, we had a demonstration of the process. Our Lunch & Learns are always open to guests.
