Children in grades 1-5 may leave for Children's Church during the song prior to the Offering. They may be picked up downstairs after worship. During Children's Church, a variety of activities take place to teach and reinforce. In addition to Bible lessons, these may include learning sign language for a song, hearing a missions story, or seeing a skit or puppet show. An offering is taken to support our church's Shoebox Project for Operation Christmas Child. We have a "Quiet Seat" motivation in which one seat is secretly selected by the Children's Church assistant prior to the children coming in; the child sitting in that one seat may win a candy prize based on their behavior.
Children's Church will not normally be held on Easter, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Youth Sunday, Sundays when there is a special musical service or other special event. It is also canceled on the last Sunday of each month for the Lord's Supper. Check your bulletin at the start of church to verify that there is Children's Church before sending your child out of the auditorium during worship.
If you prefer to keep your children in worship with you, coloring packs are available in the lobby for them to borrow.
